in Europe and India, opens new sales office in Germany

Dusit International, one of Thailand’s leading hotel and property development companies, has announced the appointment of new sales directors to head its Global Sales Offices in India and Europe, including a new office in Germany.

Recently appointed to take over the reins of Dusit’s GSO in Mumbai, India, is Ms Snehal Koli. An accomplished tourism professional with over a decade of international hospitality experience, Ms Koli has worked in sales and marketing for global hotel chains such as Onyx Hospitality Group (Amari Hotels), Accor Hotels, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, and Sarovar Hotels, as well as Costa Cruises.

As Director of Sales – GSO India, Ms Koli will be responsible for providing sales and marketing services to the group across all market segments in India, including leisure, MICE and corporate business. Her primary focus is on Tier I and II cities, such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chennai, but she will also cover smaller cities which are emerging as important source markets for outbound travel.

In Europe, Dusit has enhanced its sales structure to include a GSO in Germany to complement the company’s existing GSO in the UK.

Based in Neu-Isenburg, the new office is headed by Mr Rolf Hinze, Director of Sales – GSO Germany, who will oversee sales and

marketing activities across Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, and his native Germany.

Mr Hinze brings to the role more than 30 years of experience leading GSOs for hotel companies such as Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Six Senses Hotels & Resorts, and Minor Hotels. He has excellent track record of introducing brands in destinations and helping them to become top producing markets.

Further enhancing its presence in Europe, Dusit has appointed Mr Anthony Vale as Director of Sales – GSO UK.  Possessing a deep understanding of the leisure and corporate travel industry, Mr Vale has worked in sales for international companies such as Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts and Qatar Airways, as well as key UK-based tour operators like Tradewinds.

Based in London, Mr Vale is responsible for Dusit’s sales and marketing activities across France, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia, and the UK.

“We are delighted to welcome Snehal, Rolf, and Anthony to the Dusit family to support our expansion plans and drive business to our hotels from their respective markets,” said Ms Prachoom Tantiprasertsuk, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Dusit International. “By targeting key segments such as business, MICE, leisure, corporate and weddings, all three offices will play a vital role in raising brand awareness, fostering relationships with travel agents and corporate clients, and ultimately driving hotel revenue.”

Dusit International was founded in 1948 by Honorary Chairperson Thanpuying Chanut Piyaoui, whose first hotel was the Princess on Bangkok’s Charoenkrung Road. Today the company is a leader in hotel management and hospitality education and comprises a unique international portfolio of distinctive hotels and resorts operating under four brands: Dusit Thani, dusitD2, Dusit Princess and Dusit Devarana.

Alongside growing its operations globally, with more than 50 properties in the pipeline across key destinations, Dusit International is also expanding its business to provide new experiences for customers across the lodging spectrum.

The company also operates the signature Devarana Spa and has a fast-growing Education Division. The latter, established in 1993, comprises Dusit Thani College, which offers vocational and postgraduate hospitality degrees at campuses in Bangkok and Pattaya; and Le Cordon Bleu Dusit Culinary School.

In 2019, Dusit International will redevelop its flagship Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel as part of a landmark mixed-use project comprising residences, an office building, retail areas, and a new Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel. The new hotel is expected to open in 2023.
